‘ for women to claim their own space in their new homes ‘
As immigrant women are facing so many challenges in their new homes, including language, new culture dynamics, they might lose the sense of their own expressing space especially if they responsible for other members of the family. This workshop is aiming to give them the chance to claim their own space, physically and emotionally. To tell stories about angers and satisfactions.
Who can participate?
Women of any age with immigrant background who speak Arabic or English or both. No need for any previous experiences in storytelling or performing. Agree to be part of one day workshop, and to take part on stage to tell the stories to other women ‘in closed group‘.
We are looking forward to hear your stories!
The workshop will be designed and guided from the story teller Wafaa Albadry
